COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Today, U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) announced the 2023 Congressional Art Competition, a contest for high school students in the 10th Congressional District, is officially open.

“We have so many gifted and wonderful students here in Texas' 10th district,” said Rep. McCaul. “Art can be extremely powerful, and I’m always amazed at the level of talent and emotion displayed by our students. I look forward to seeing their submissions every year!”

WASHINGTON – U.S. Representatives Michael McCaul (R-Texas) and Susan Wild (D-Penn.) recently introduced the bipartisan Jenna Quinn Law, legislation to allow current grant funds to be used to train and educate students, teachers, caregivers, and other adults who work with children on how to prevent, recognize, and report child sexual abuse. The bill, named for child abuse survivor Jenna Quinn, is a companion to legislation introduced in the Senate by U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas).

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) voted for H.R. 5, the “Parents Bill of Rights Act,” which he also cosponsored. The Parents’ Bill of Rights ensures parents are told what their children are being taught; have the opportunity to speak to their children’s teachers; can protect their children’s privacy; and can keep their children safe. It also promotes transparency by ensuring parents can see school budgets and spending.
