McCaul Votes for Impeachment Inquiry Into President Biden

December 13, 2023

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) issued the following statement after voting to formalize House Republicans’ impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.

"Because the White House refused to work with House Republicans in good faith, they have forced House Republicans to open a formal impeachment inquiry to give Congress more authorities in the courts and help enforce Congressional subpoenas. That’s why — as a former federal prosecutor — I voted for the impeachment inquiry. If the White House refuses to be transparent, we will use our Article I authorities to get the answers the American people deserve."
