"This is just another example of how this administration views the detainees as criminal defendants rather than enemies of war. That said, having been a federal prosecutor, the Southern District of New York is the best equipped office to prosecute terrorists. However, this also raises security concerns for New York which has consistently been a target of al Qaeda.
