McCaul said early projects for the reservoir are projected in the $550-600 million range but added that is a project that was planned 1940 but was aborted due to money issues.
Families struggling with childhood cancer could soon have more options. That's after President Trump signed the RACE for Children Act, a new law that allows drugs that fight cancer for adults to be tested and regulated to fight childhood cancer. The law was sponsored by Central Texas Republican Congressman Michael McCaul, R-Austin.
Congress so far this session has passed 55 bills that have been signed into law including dozens with bipartisan support, from sanctioning North Korea to reauthorizing the FDA, allowing the agency to continue to collect outside funding for medical research and offer more hope to children with cancer.

In a clear warning shot at President-elect Donald Trump, President Obama said Tuesday the U.S. can only protect the homeland against terrorism by embracing Muslims and encouraging a society “that can criticize a president without retribution.”
Rep. Michael McCaul has submitted bipartisan legislation to provide border sheriffs and other local law enforcement agencies along the northern and southern borders $2.5 billion in federal assistance over five years.
