WASHINGTON – This week, Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) introduced the Creating Obstructions Necessary to Address Illegal and Nefarious Entry Rapidly (CONTAINER) Act, legislation to codify border states’ authority to place temporary barriers on federal land to protect their communities and the nation against illegal immigration and the deadly flow of drugs. The legislation is co-led by Congressmen David Rouzer (R-N.C.) and August Pfluger (R-Texas).

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) — chairman emeritus and senior member of the House Committee on Homeland Security — was appointed by Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) to be a manager for the Senate impeachment trial of Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
WASHINGTON – This week, U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) and Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas) sent a letter to Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, expressing deep concerns regarding United States Postal Service issues across Rep. McCaul’s district and the broader Houston area.
“We are writing on behalf of Texas constituents, who have shared multiple accounts regarding a range of issues with the postal service,” the lawmakers wrote.
