McCaul Votes to Support Our Troops
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Michael McCaul (TX-10) – Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee and a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee – applauded the House passage of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2018 (NDAA).
Congressman McCaul: “The threats we face today are more complex than ever before and demand strong U.S. leadership. I applaud the passage of the FY18 NDAA, which restores our nation’s military readiness and bolsters our nation’s offensive and defensive military capabilities. This bill also provides the necessary support to our men and women serving valiantly in our armed forces here at home and abroad. Bottom line, the world is not becoming any safer. Our adversaries are working around the clock to exploit our vulnerabilities and undermine our national security. As such, we must enhance our capabilities to deter future aggression, protect our borders, and respond when necessary to any threat that poses a danger to the safety and security of the American people and our allies. Gone are the years of indecisiveness - when Washington’s reluctance signaled weakness to the rest of the world. I look forward to continuing to work with Congress and this administration to strengthen and modernize our military.”
