McCaul Votes to Protect Retirement Savings for Millions of Americans

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) voted for the Protecting Americans’ Investments from Woke Policies Act, to ensure financial institutions are focused on maximizing returns in retirement plans — not on environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) factors.

"Under the leadership of the Biden-Harris administration, inflation has eroded Americans’ retirement savings. To make matters worse, they are pressuring financial institutions to prioritize woke ESG factors, which perform notoriously poorly, when making investment decisions," said Rep. McCaul. "I was proud to support the Protecting Americans’ Investments from Woke Policies Act to ensure financial institutions are focused on maximizing returns in retirement plans — not bankrolling Democrats’ radical initiatives and pet projects.
