San Antonio, TX – Congressman Michael McCaul (TX-10) released the following statement on the passing of his mother-in-law, Peggy Pitman Mays.

"I am saddened to announce that my mother-in-law, Peggy Pitman Mays of San Antonio, Texas, passed away Wednesday. Peggy led a remarkable life, dedicating her days to serving others through her work at the Mays Family Foundation and her support of countless other charitable initiatives, including MD Anderson and the UT Health San Antonio Cancer Center. More importantly, she was married to the love of her life Lester Lowry Mays for 61 years, and was an incredible mother to her four children and beloved ‘Bebo’ to her 16 grandchildren. While our family is mourning her passing, we are comforted that she is smiling down on our family from her place with the Lord."
