McCaul Statement on President's Veto of NDAA WASHINGTON, DC–Today following President Obama's veto of the National Defense Authorization Act, Congressman Michael McCaul (R-TX), Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security, released the following statement: McCaul: "At a time when we face an array of threats emanating from the Middle East, Europe, and Asia, the President's veto of the defense authorization bill and his willingness to hold our national defense hostage to politics are irresponsible and send a dangerous signal to allies and enemies alike. Even worse, the President's veto undermines the fight against Islamist terrorists, including ISIS and al Qaeda, who are actively threatening our homeland." |
