McCaul Statement on House Approval of Keystone XL Pipeline

November 14, 2014

WASHINGTON, DC –Today following the passage of H.R. 5682, approving the Keystone XL Pipeline, Congressman Michael McCaul (R-TX) released the following statement.

McCaul: "For six years the American people have heard President Obama talk about energy security and job creation, yet he has failed to deliver on either. Meanwhile, House Republicans have sent hundreds of energy and jobs bills to the President's allies in the Democrat Senate only to see them ignored. On November 4th, the American people said they had enough of this obstruction and elected a new Senate with a majority that supports the Keystone Pipeline. President Obama and his friends in the Lame Duck Senate should finally get out of the way of jobs and energy and support Rep. Bill Cassidy's plan to build the Keystone Pipeline, create over 40,000 jobs and reduce our dependence on Middle East oil."
