McCaul on Updated Trade Agreement Between the United States and Mexico
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Michael McCaul (R-TX), Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee and a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, released the following statement after President Trump announced an updated trade agreement with Mexico.
Congressman McCaul: “I am encouraged by President Trump’s announcement of an updated trade agreement with Mexico today. There is no doubt that we need improved trade agreements for the 21st century to promote the best interests of America’s small businesses, farmers, and workers. I look forward to reviewing the agreement in full to ensure that it promotes robust trade between Texas and Mexico. I hope today’s announcement also highlights the importance of swiftly working with our close ally Canada to find similar common ground.”
