McCaul Applauds President Trump Signing NDAA into Law

December 12, 2017

WASHINGTON, D.C. Congressman Michael McCaul (TX-10), Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee and a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, released the statement below following the president's signing of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for the Fiscal Year 2018 into law.

Congressman McCaul: "Our exceptional servicemen and women risk their lives daily to secure the freedoms and liberties we enjoy. In return, it is our duty as Congress to ensure they have the resources and equipment needed to defend the national security of the United States when called upon. This year's NDAA enhances our capabilities across the board to effectively deter and respond to any threat when necessary. Additionally, this legislation gives our military the most substantial pay raise they have received in eight years, and they earned every penny of it. Today's signing of this legislation sends a clear message to the world that the United States is leading once again."
