Congressman McCaul Votes in Favor of Funding Supporting Small Businesses, Hospitals and Increasing Testing Capabilities
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Michael McCaul (TX-10) voted in favor of the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act, which appropriates funds to help support small businesses, hospitals, and increase testing capabilities nationwide.
“I voted in favor of funding that will replenish funds to the Paycheck Protection Program, to ensure our small businesses are able to stay afloat in the short-term. In addition, this funding is going directly to our hospitals and health care workers on the front lines who are combatting this virus and helping those who have been infected. Finally, I am thrilled we are appropriating additional funding that will expand testing on a national scale. Expanding testing is critical in getting people back to work and re-opening our economy.
“As always, I am proud to represent Texans in the 10th District and want my office to be a resource to you at this time. If you are having trouble or need clarity on how to receive aid during this time, please reach out to my office.”
Included in the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act:
- $310 billion to replenish the Paycheck Protection Program
- $60 billion in disaster loans and grants
- $75 billion for hospitals and health care workers on the front lines
- $25 billion to expand testing nationwide
