June 19, 2017

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Michael McCaul (TX-10) – Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee and a senior member of the Foreign Affairs Committee – released the below statement on the death of Otto Warmbier.

Chairman McCaul: "I send my deepest condolences to Otto Warmbier's family, friends, and loved ones, and stand with the President and my colleagues in Congress in condemning this act of gross negligence. The untimely passing of Otto is a direct result of North Korea's disregard for basic human decency and is a further example of why this belligerent regime must be tempered."
