McCaul Slams the Biden-Harris Admin for FY 2024 Migrant Encounters
Austin, Texas – Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) — chairman emeritus of the House Committee on Homeland Security — issued the following statement after U.S. Customs and Border Protection released their Fiscal Year 2024 migrant encounter numbers, which reached over 2.1 million.
“Under the Biden-Harris administration, America’s border is wide open, enabling terrorists, violent criminals, and drug traffickers to walk right into our country,” said Rep. McCaul. “Just this year, President Biden and Vice President Harris have let over 2.1 million people into our country — a number only surpassed by the two previous years of the Biden-Harris administration. We could not have imagined record-high numbers like this when I chaired the Homeland Security Committee under the Trump administration. These numbers don't lie. Texans bear the brunt of this crisis and will not be fooled by this administration's attempts to cover it up.”
