McCaul Asks IRS Commissioner to Review Clinton Foundation Tax Exempt Status

AUSTIN, TX –This week Congressman Michael McCaul (R-TX) joined 50 of his colleagues in signing a letter requesting John Koskinen, the Internal Revenue Service Commissioner, to review the tax exempt status of the Clinton Foundation. The letter, which can be found here, raises member's concerns over allegations the Clinton Foundation accepted, and did not disclose, millions of dollars of donations and facilitated private business transactions for foreign entities while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State.

"Recent allegations that the Clinton Foundation failed to report millions of dollars in donations from foreign governments and facilitated private business transactions between foreign entities while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State are deeply troubling," said McCaul. "If these allegations are true, the Clinton Foundation should lose its tax exempt status."
